1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use localStorage (a browser storage mechanism) to save your consent preferences on your device without an expiry date. This page explains exactly which cookies and storage entries this site uses, why, and how to control them.

No Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or other third-party advertising trackers are deployed on this site. Marketing cookies are disclosed for transparency but are not currently active.

3. Google Consent Mode v2

We have implemented Google Consent Mode v2 on this site. Here is how it works:

Default state — denied. When the page loads, analytics_storage and ad_storage are set to denied before the Google Analytics script executes. No identifiable data or cookies are written to your browser in this state.
Cookieless pings only. While consent is denied, Google may receive anonymous, aggregated, cookieless signals (no user identifiers). These cannot be used to track or identify individuals.
After you grant consent. If you click "Accept All" or enable Analytics in the Cookie Preferences panel, analytics_storage is updated to granted, the GA cookies (_ga, _ga_*, _gid) are set, and a page view is sent.
On returning visits. Your preference is read from cookie_prefs in localStorage on page load and applied immediately — the banner is not shown again unless you clear your preferences.

4. Marketing Cookies

No marketing or advertising cookies are currently active on this site. The Marketing toggle in the Cookie Preferences panel is included for transparency and future disclosure. If we introduce marketing technologies, this policy will be updated and you will be asked for fresh consent.

5. How to Change or Withdraw Consent

5.1 Cookie Preferences Panel

Click (also in the page footer) to open the preferences modal at any time. Select your choices and click "Save My Preferences." Your selection is saved immediately.

5.2 Clear Browser Storage

To reset all consent choices:

Open your browser's developer tools (F12 → Application → Local Storage).
Find the entry for cookie_prefs under the asqcssbb.com origin and delete it.
Reload the page; the consent banner will reappear.

5.4 Google Analytics Opt-Out Add-on

You can also install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent your data from being used by Google Analytics across all websites.
